A woman used her body as a barricade to stop a burglar from ramming open her front door.
The Barnes resident was in her ground floor Boileau Road flat last Thursday when she heard someone knocking on her front door, and soon after her neighbour's door, at 12.40pm.
When she looked through the spy glass she saw a tall man running at the door.
The force of his charge broke the lock on the door and the woman was hit on the forehead. She screamed, threw herself at the door and managed to push it shut.
The man wore a beige beanie hat and a cream coat.
Anyone with information should call Detective Constable Smith, at Twickenham police station on 020 8247 7142 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
