Marcus Akin is a secret softie says pal

A friend of Brentford’s very own Wolverine has hit out against the mullet lovers critics and said his pal does have a hidden soft side.

Married pal Jason Stead said BB10 star Marcus Akin, who has shocked some viewers with his straight talking, helped him through a tough time when a close family member died.

Carpenter Marcus, who is coming up to his third week in the most talked about UK house, shocked viewers when he branded Scottish model Karly a “piece of meat” and slammed loudmouthed lesbian Lisa for being a bitter BB bully.

But Mr Stead, whose own facial hair rivals his pals, said: “Well about Marcus,he`s a really nice guy. He`s a talented customizer model maker, even though I like to think we`re pretty even on those talents.

“He likes his tattoo and he likes bikes. Of course appreciates rock music and most certainly Iron Maiden, though who doesn`t. A big Hellboy and Mad max fan.

“He`s well travelled,well meaning though stands his grounds if the need arises. He`s a great friend to have in your corner, I speak from experience on that, when I lost a family member.”

“I tend to put him akin, sorry no pun intended, to a Samurai warrior. Can be brutal but also has a calm side. Though I`d say I`m more a Barbarian than a Samurai warrior.”

Mr Stead admitted he didn’t watch the show but said his wife is glued to the box for any signs of the Brentford carpenter who once set fire to his own face.

He said: “I have made sure all my friends and family etc root for him, never mind the Brentford mobs. My wife does keep me up to date of BB activities, I`m just not a reality TV person. Seeing him as one of the lineup was a total shock though i can tell you.”

Some of Marcus’ friends have been targeted by glossy magazines looking for gossip on the long haired rocker. Close friends have even put warnings on their profiles to block out requests.

Mr Stead said: “I am sorry to hear there`s press out there looking for crap on him, its such a shame to hear that as he is as he is indeed a great guy. I for one am rooting for him to win the BB, He`s the only straight white guy in the house.”
