The Hersham Beer Festival is back on Friday and Saturday, July 3 and 4, with a range of real ales, beer, wine and cider for people to enjoy.

A hog roast and barbecue will help soak up the alcohol, while music and stand up comedy will keep people entertained.

The festival has been organised by 1st Hersham Scouts, with proceeds being used to send 30 members to Norway for an expedition over mountains and fjords.

Organiser Ed Grimsey said: “Last year, over 500 local residents enjoyed a wonderful day of live music and entertainment, washed down by a wide range of real ales.

“The event was so successful we’ve been inundated with demands from locals to run it again and extend it by a day.

“The Hersham Beer Festival is the perfect way to celebrate the British summer.”

The event takes place at the 1st Hersham Scouts headquarters in Burwood Road, from mid-afternoon until late.
