IN A VICIOUS and apparently unprovoked attack, a man was stabbed in the chest as he walked with a friend through Lampton Park in Hounslow last week.

The attack happened on Friday November 14 at around 5pm, as the 20-year-old student from Georgia was walking near the tennis courts in the park.

Three males approached the two students from behind and asked them what they were doing. The victims tried to ignore the men’s approaches and began to walk away, but before they could get away, the victim felt a great pain in his side.

Talking to police later, the victim said he didn’t see the knife, but when police arrived outside Hounslow Central tube station where the men had escaped to, the victim was sitting leaning against a wall with severely blood-stained clothes.

The man was taken to hospital by ambulance where his injuries were described as serious but not life threatening.

Police admitted that the man had received a “large stab wound to the left side of his chest”.

The attackers were described as three black males wearing dark clothes.

Despite a search made by CID and police dogs, they managed to escape.
