RESIDENTS in Brentford Dock are taking part in the ‘World’s biggest coffee morning’ next week to raise funds for a cancer charity.

Thousands of people will be downing cups of coffee on September 26th for Macmillan Cancer Relief which offers life support by providing expert care and practical support for those living with cancer.

Brian Sharman from Brentford Dock is one of those organising an event on the day at the Residents Club room on Augustus Close, from 10.30am to 12pm, where coffee and cakes will be on sale and a raffle held.

Brian told the Times: "A number of us have cause to be very grateful for the work that MacMillan nurses do."

The charity hopes to raise £3.5million on the day, and there is still time to arrange your own event.
