CAUGHT wandering about a building at Isleworth, a man was found to have £125 from a handbag and was arrested.
Borja Sastre, aged 22, of Fellbridge Road, Stanmore, appeared at Feltham court last week, where he admitted stealing the cash but said he had found it lying outside the building.
Andrew Caird, prosecuting, said that Sastre had gone to the BSkyB building at Isleworth and was seen wandering about. When he was stopped and later searched the cash was found on him but he insisted that he had never stolen a handbag.
Unemployed Sastre said that he has little income and has rent of £300 a month.
Sastre said he was sorry for what had happened and was given a conditional discharge for 12 months with £55 costs.
