A cyclist who fell off his bicycle and died while riding through Richmond Park has been named.
Police confirmed Richmond Hill resident, Martyn Dobson, died on December 17 - nine days after his 30th birthday - but have yet to determine any cause.
Originally from Nunthorpe, Middlesbrough, Mr Dobson was a keen cyclist and member of Cleveland Wheelers Cycling Club.
According to the club’s website, Mr Dobson was cycling through the park between Richmond Gate and Pembroke Lodge when he wobbled, carried on riding for 30 yards and then collapsed.
A doctor and nurse, who were said to be in a following car, rushed to help but could find no pulse.
An inquest was opened and adjourned on December 23.
