A WOMAN who drove drunk and crashed her car into another vehicle last week had already been disqualified from driving for two years the week before.

Patricia Cowley of Baizdon Road, Blackheath, was also charged with driving whilst unfit after a doctor’s diagnosis.

The 35-year-old, who pleaded guilty, had already been disqualified from driving at Feltham Magistrates’ Court on June 13th.

Crown prosecutor, Charian Caesar, told the court: "On Thursday, police were called to a report of a driving only accident outside Budgens on York Street, Twickenham. Witnesses at the scene said they saw Cowley driving her vehicle into a parked car.

"She was arrested and taken to a police station where a breath test revealed a reading of 90 micrograms of alcohol per 100 millilitres of breath. The legal limit is 35 micrograms. She was later seen by a doctor who pronounced her unfit to drive through alcohol or drugs."

Cowley will appear back in court on June 27th after her case was adjourned.

THERE were five co-defendants in court on Monday facing charges in connection with an assault in Hampton in March.

Robert Baker, 45 of Bloxham Crescent, Hampton, and Clifford Douglas, 40 of The Grove, Isleworth, appeared in the dock beside Henry Brett, 31, and Sandra Brett, 34 of Tachbrook Road, Feltham.

The four men are alleged to have caused grievous bodily harm to Dean Amstoy at the Railway Hotel, Hampton, on March 30th.

Sandra Brett was charged with violent disorder. All five will appear at Kingston Crown Court for a preliminary hearing on July 1st. They were released on conditional bail.
