A DARING attempted robbery took place in an East Sheen newsagent in broad daylight last week.
Three youths entered Martins News, on Upper Richmond Road West on June 13th at 3.40pm and pushed the cashier away from the till area and made threats to hurt the cashier, who thought he was in danger.
He was able to press a button to call staff from the back and the suspect believed it to be an alarm and fled the scene empty handed.
Police spokesman Ray Goodlett said the robbers were very bold. He said: "It is a busy road and broad daylight."
