BEXLEY Mayor, Councillor John Wilkinson, found time for his 25th pint this week.
When he rolled up his sleeve and gave blood, he reached a milestone only 16 per cent of donors ever reach. Coun Wilkinson first gave blood in 1991.
The National Blood Service is urging new donors to come forward at a time of year when colds and flu affect the number of donors attending the session.
Most people aged between 17 and 60 should be able to give blood.
The National Blood Service can be contacted on 0845 7711 711 or details of local sessions can be found on Ceefax BBC2 page 465.
