Wallington's Davinia Monteiro celebrated lifting the inaugural Women U20s Nations Cup with a try in her side's 30-7 final triumph over Canada in Toronto.
The 19-year-old Bath University student - who started her rugby career with Sutton & Epsom - opened the scoring on Saturday to help ensure England Women remained undefeated in the four-game competition.
Wasps hooker Monteiro played a starring role as head coach Giselle Mather's team had earlier beaten Canada A, Canada and Wales to reach the final.
And Mather was delighted with the squad's attitude to claim the spoils in adverse conditions in North America.
"We are enormously proud of the journey this squad has been on," she said.
"To play four very hard games in nine days and to produce performances in the heat and driving rain that we are very proud of, is a remarkable achievement.
"The standard of rugby played throughout this tournament by all sides has raised the bar at this level, and to have come out as winners has been a real testament to the girls' hard work. "
