Hounslow's rubbish collections have been disrupted by strike action.
Residents who usually see their refuse removed on a Wednesday and Thursday will not receive a collection this week because of industrial action.
Those affected, in the Chiswick and Feltham areas, will not have their rubbish picked up until next week.
The council has reminded residents that rubbish should be stored on their own properties and not on the roadside.
Recycling and garden waste collection services will not be affected and will be running as normal.
Unison and Unite unions have called a two-day strike for today and tomorrow after rejecting a national 2.45 per cent pay officer.
Tens of thousands of council workers are expected to strike across England, Wales and Northern Ireland including members of Hounslow Council's waste collection and street cleaning services.
