Chiswick's adopted chanteuse, Samantha Barks, has made it to the final of the BBC's hit reality talent show, I'd Do Anything.
After nine nail-biting episodes 17-year-old Samantha is one of three finalists.
This Saturday the search for a Nancy for the forthcoming West End production of Oliver! will come to an end on BBC One at 6pm.
Rachel Alexander, a close friend of Ms Barks, said: "It's now down to the public to decide. Apart from being from Chiswick, Samantha is now the only Londoner left in the competition and the north is working very hard to ensure their girl, Jodie, wins."
Originally from the Isle of Man, the teenager moved to W4 to study her A-levels at Arts Educational School in Turnham Green.
