The Friends of Isleworth Public Hall have started a day-time drop in club, called the Thursday Club.
Members meet on the second Thursday of every month and organisers have arranged a varied programme from quizzes, talks, and a bring-and-buy to a possible coach outing in the spring.
The next Thursday Club meeting at Isleworth Public Hall, South Street, is on February 14 at 2 pm.
Entry costs £2, which includes refreshments. Local historian Christine Diwell, will give an illustrated talk about Isleworth and is hoping others will chip in with their memories along the way.
The friends of the hall also raise funds to improve the facilities of this well-loved Victorian building.
Among recent successes has been obtaining a grant from the borough's Isleworth and Brentford Area Committee to re-varnish the floor of the main hall and stage.
The group has also gained another grant from the Hounslow and Isleworth Charities, to enable an interior doorway to be widened to allow wheelchair access.
