Members of St Mary's Church, Osterley, have ended their 150th anniversary celebrations by making a time capsule.
The capsule will be buried in St Mary's crypt for the next 50 years and will be opened in time for the church's 200-year anniversary in the year 2057.
Members of the congregation and its community organisations were asked to write "what St Mary's means to me" on a card and these have been put into the time capsule along with other items including photographs of St Mary's events during the year 2007 and news clippings.
As the children are the ones who will still be here in the year 2057 they were asked to be photographed holding the time capsule during the service on December 2 before it was laid to rest in the crypt.
