Students from Heathland School, Hounslow, have got a taste for amateur dramatics after they staged a production of Sir Alan Ayckbourn's Confusions.
The cast and technical crew included pupils from year eight up to the upper sixth, with principal roles being taken by all age groups.
Director Judy Wyndham said the audience roared with laughter as Ummer Qadeer, playing a bumbling waiter, attempted to serve meals to two couples who insisted on fighting in a public restaurant.
She said: "Much of the humour relied on Ummer's excellent comic timing. Equally impressive were the scene transitions of music and dancing which allowed the stage crew, superbly led by Kishan Patel, to change the sets, almost unnoticed.
"It's such a positive experience for students to be involved in all aspects of producing a play that successfully engages the audience."
