Volunteers at Chiswick House kitchen garden are busy preparing enormous pumpkins, gorgeous pink and orange dahlias, huge cucumbers, melons, peppers, and herbs for its open day on Sunday September 16.
The garden is open for from 1pm to 5pm as part of the National Gardens' Yellow Book Scheme.
Children can enjoy the Magic Forest, featuring Cinderella's carriage and magic pumpkin, along with other artworks .
Entrance is £1.50 and entry children are free. Tea and refreshments will be available. Further details can be foundon kitchengarden.org.uk.
The Walled Gardens at Chiswick House were created in 1682 by Sir Stephen Fox, boss of Samuel Pepys. They are now gardened by the Chiswick House Kitchen Garden Association.
