A food festival will return to Hampton this year on August Bank Holiday.
The annual food festival is returning to Hampton Court Palace, once home to history's more notorious foodies, King Henry VIII, and will provide a perfect backdrop for a food-filled weekend.

A whole host of famous chefs and culinary experts will be on hand in The Kitchen to showcase their cooking techniques, with the line-up including Michel Roux Jr, Nadiya Hussain, and Melissa Hemsley.

The Classroom offers masterclasses on everything from Sourdough Workshops to Naked Cake Decorating with the BBC Good Food Cookery Team.

Families can also have the chance to get hands-on in the Kid’s Cookery Classes, whilst Number 97 Gin Club will be running a special drinks masterclass.

Visitors will also be able to shop from over one hundred food stalls and artisan food producers, all guaranteed to get the taste buds tingling. From paella and oysters to sweet treats and an array of ales, there is something for everyone.

Soak up the festival atmosphere at the band stand and relax in one of the deckchairs as you enjoy the live music on offer. Plenty of free activities will be on hand to keep children entertained, including face painting and a Circus School, including having a go at juggling and plate-spinning.

Children can also meet the palace’s working Shire horses and find out about their special connection to Henry VIII.

With free entry to the palace and its formal gardens included in every ticket, visitors will be encouraged to explore Hampton Court’s magnificent surroundings, with the world’s oldest puzzle maze, the largest grapevine on the planet, and the Magic.

Inside the palace, food enthusiasts can also learn what it took to feed up to 600 people twice a day in the Tudor Kitchens, where Hampton Court’s team of historic chefs will be, creating a meal fit for a king.

The food festival takes place on August 25-27. Members can go for free and non-member tickets start from £19.20 for adults and £9.60 for children.
