A Wimbledon man is appealing for help after a group of youths stole a BMW from his driveway in the early hours of the morning.

26-year-old Rihan Khan’s new BMW was stolen from his driveway in Abbott Avenue on Saturday, August 11 in the early hours of the morning.

Three people were caught on camera appearing to break into his house, gaining entry through the living room window and taking the keys. In CCTV footage captured from a neighbour’s house, they can be seen walking around and driving off.

Mr Khan, who has to live in the area for over 16 years said: “There have been burglaries in the area before but nothing like this. I had only bought the car two months ago.

“They pried the window latch open and squeezed through. I think they were quite young so were able to get into through the window quite easily. They just grabbed the keys and stole my car.

“I imagine it will be difficult to find the car, but I just want to raise awareness about these types of incidents in the area.”

The black 2010 BMW 320D was stolen between 04.00am-04.30am. Police are investigating the issue and have told Rihan to call 111 or 0208 284 5100 quoting 1409386/18.
