Richmond businesses were visited by The Bank of England at the Ivy Café, Hill Street.

The bank presented their policy tools and strategies to the businesses, as well as their ongoing commitment to comprehensive research of business, financial markets and international exogenous factors.

The Richmond Chamber of Commerce’s CEO, Anne Newton said: “We thank The Bank of England, for visiting representative businesses again from wide-ranging sectors from across the Borough.

“The Bank is connected via an extensive international network of experts from various sectors and central bankers, all of whom inform central Banks' teams, who in turn based on this and their own data maintain our financial markets and economies.

“Innovation has become a key part of the Bank's DNA, along with a steady hand drawing on clear lessons from the past.

“In addition, an increasing openness has been observed, as they seek as much information as possible from all quarters to conundrums such as the apparent decreasing productivity across the western world and this trend particularly marked in the UK.”

This year the business awards are sponsored by CuraCare, The Lensbury, Harlequins Rugby Bluebird Care, Butterworth Laboratories, Sheraton Interior, Minesoft and London Square.

Chamber CEO Anne Newton thanked everyone who is working to make the awards possible, including the organisers and sponsors.
