Four fire engines and twenty five firefighters have been called to a blaze in Eltham Hill.
London Fire Brigade were called at 9.58am to a fire on a fifth floor balcony at a block of flats in Sherard Road in Eltham.
A balcony on the fifth floor was destroyed by the fire and a small part of a six roomed flat was also damaged. There were no reports of any injuries.
The Brigade was called at 0958 and the fire was under control at 1126.
Fire crews from Eltham, Sidcup and Lee Green fire stations attended the scene.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
