West End star Edd Campbell Bird will host a four day ‘Matilda’ inspired summer camp in Richmond.

The workshop is organized by Little Voices Richmond School of Performing Arts. Young performers aged between 4-13 will get the opportunity to work with Ed and Little Voices at the four-day camp.

Students will get the chance to test out their singing, dancing and acting skills, working toward a final performance to their friends and family.

Ashlea Pearson, the principal of Little Voices, said: “We are thrilled that we managed to secure a West End guest to host the camp and to have him working with us to educate the children of Richmond - it’s amazing! We cannot wait for the camp and to watch him put his professional stamp on the week.”

Edd has appeared as Prouvair and Marius in the West End production of Les Miserables at The Queens Theatre in which he performed over 400 performances. He also starred alongside Emma Thompson in the production of Sweeney Todd at the London Coliseum.

Most recently, Edd filmed a roll in the upcoming TV series, Catch-22 directed by George Clooney which is set to air in 2019.

The four-day camp, which is open to children aged 4 - 13 years, is being held from Monday, July 23 until Thursday, July 26 from 9.30am - 3.30pm each day at Christ's School on Queens Road.
