Prog rock band, Atomic Rooster, will be playing a one-off gig at at Twickenham Eel Pie Club.

The band recently reformed and features two original members, lead singer Peter French and Steve Bolton on guitar. They will be playing at Eel Pie on June 26.

Atomic Rooster was originally formed by members of The Crazy World of Arthur Brown. Hit singles, Tomorrow Night and Devil’s Answer both made the UK top 20s in 1971.

The band reformed last year and has been playing festivals across the UK. Colin Davies said: “Pete French sounded amazing from the start. One song in to Atomic Rooster’s set and it was hard to imagine a better vocalist all weekend.

"It’s no secret that Steve Bolton is a master axeman and he led the band through a stunning version of Black Snake before unleashing an instrumental in honour of Vincent Crane."

Pete French spoke about his love for Richmond: “I love Richmond, its like a second home and i love Eel Pie. I have played there a few times. Its small compared to what I am used to but I am looking forward to it!”

Completing the line-up are Shug Millage on bass, Bo Walsh on drums and Adrian Gautrey on organ/keys.

Tickets can be bought online at www.eelpieclub.com for £17 or purchased on the door.
