Residents are urged to go green, as Clean Air Day comes to Richmond on Thursday, June 21.

Richmond council will be running a Clean Air Day stand outside Richmond Station on the day from 10.30 am to 4 pm, with an electric car on display in George Street.

Staff from Richmond Council will be on hand with information about air pollution in the borough.

Cllr Alexander Ehmann, cabinet member for transport, streetscene and air quality said:

“Air quality is one of the biggest issues facing London as a whole, and we all need to band together and play our part to tackle the problem.

“Small changes to your day-to-day life such as not idling your car engine at level crossings, choosing to walk your child to school if you live nearby or taking advantage of the Brompton and bikeshare bikes we have around the borough, can make a big difference.”
