Who has the best and wurst sausage in Richmond will be decided this Sunday.

The Borough's Best Banger competition is back for another year as butchers and chefs pit their meat against one another.

But that isn't the only big event taking place at the Diamond Jubilee Gardens this month.

On June 23, it will be man's best friend's time to shine as part of the Twickenham Festival Dog Show.

Councillor Martin Elengorn said it was an exciting time for the borough.

“The dogs will be too late for the sausages, which is probably just as well, though it does mean there won’t be a prize for the dog that runs away fastest with a string of sausages in its mouth," he said.

"Come down to Diamond Jubilee Gardens during June to help choose the most sizzling sausage and then to help choose the most dogged dog.”

The best banger competition will kick off from midday and run until 2.30pm with free entry.

Registration for the dog show later this month will take place from 12.30pm to 1.30pm with the event running from 2-4pm.

Viewing is free whilst competition entry is £3 for one category and £1 for every subsequent category
