The Mayor of Richmond has hosted her final fundraising event and will be stepping down this month.
Lisa Blakemore's Royal Quiz and accompanying raffle raised £1,605 for the Mayor’s charities: Off the Record (Twickenham), Me Too and Co and Cavernoma Alliance UK.
She used to be councillor for North Richmond, but didn't stand in the May 5 election which was won by the Liberal Democrats.
Ms Blakemore said: “It was fantastic to have so many people come along to celebrate Prince Harry’s wedding to Meghan Markle by putting their brains to work in aid of some great causes.
“The Royal Quiz was my last fundraising event and I am delighted to have raised this final bit of money for three fantastic causes which I have supported throughout the last year.
“I would like to thank everyone who came along to this event, or any of my events over the last twelve-months!”
The new Mayor of Richmond upon Thames will be announced tomorrow at the annual full council meeting on May 22, 2018.
