A street party - one of many on Saturday - was held in East Sheen to celebrate the wedding of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle.

The road, Enmore Gardens, was closed and residents enjoyed a cake competition, tug of war, fancy dress parade, treasure hunt, bouncy castle, picnic and a heritage board displaying information about some of the remarkable former residents.

These included the founder of the Natural History Museum and an Indian maharaja who had ten wives, 88 children and 40 Rolls Royce cars.

The multicultural street enjoyed traditional costumes worn by Greek, Finnish and French residents as well as a whole lamb on a spit roasted Greek-style.
