A WW2 explosive was found in Twickenham on Saturday.
Police were called to Netherton Road at about 4.16pm on March 22 after being alerted to a “suspected WW2 ordnance”.
A spokeswoman for the Met Police said: “The item was assessed by specialist officers and was safely removed.
“The incident was stood down and the roads were re-opened at about 5.30pm.”
London Fire Brigade and London Ambulance Service also attended.
Coincidentally, a different incident involving a suspected WW2 unexploded bomb happened near Richmond Bridge just two days previous on March 22.

However, it ended up being a false alarm.
