This year’s pantomime at the Epsom Playhouse was the theatre’s most successful to date.
The 40 performances of Cinderella were seen by 15,511 people, and gross ticket sales were up 8.4 per cent on last year.
A spokeswoman for the theatre put the success down to many factors, including value for money, increased advertising and the quality of the cast.
Fiona Maloney said: "We are absolutely delighted with how well Cinderella was received by our patrons.
The team at The Epsom Playhouse including our hardworking volunteer stewards do all we can throughout the year to ensure the success of all our shows and, of course, the Pantomime is no exception.
"We have been working in partnership with Spillers Pantomimes for years, during that time our Pantomimes have evolved with the latest trends to keep our audience happy and engaged. Cinderella had the perfect mix of songs, dance and of course the all-important panto gags performed by a wonderfully talented cast who were paramount to our continued sell-out performances."
Work has already begun on the next pantomime - Snow White and the Seven Dwarves, which opens in December.
