Young artists whose designs feature on the Mayor of Richmond’s Christmas cards joined her for afternoon tea in her parlour at York House this week.

The six children and their parents were invited by Mayor Lisa Blakemore after their designs were chosen from more than 450 entries.

The budding artists included, Ayla Qader-Parsons from Kew Riverside School, Jaeger Macias from Lowther Primary School, Hannah Carr-Hill from Stanley Primary School, Sophia Dorey from Lady Eleanor Holles School, Lucas McVey from Stanley Primary School and Joshua Janssen from Stanley Primary School.

Councillor Lisa Blakemore said: “I would once again like to thank all the children who submitted designs and particularly the six artists whose designs will adorn my Christmas cards this year.

“I know their designs will bring joy to everyone who receives one of the cards and I hope they and their families enjoyed the afternoon tea as much as I did.”
