Tributes have been paid to Tor Andreas Fagerland, the Norwegian actor who starred in the gangster film shot in Richmond - yet passed away before he was able to see the film's premiere.
The film, which won gold at this year’s LA Neo Noir festival, was a sell-out when it was screened at Richmond Odeon earlier this month.
Mr Fagerland, who would stay at The Bingham Hotel when visiting Richmond and was keen on the town's Pitcher and Piano pub, died following an illness aged 68.
He began his career in Norway, where he starred in Call of The Wild with Hollywood legend Charlton Heston.
Kaufman’s Game director Helier Bissell-Thomas said: “For those who had the good fortune to know and work with Tor, to say that he was a smart, kind, funny, talented, and generous gentleman would be an understatement."
“The man was a unique gem in our world and we all loved him.”
Richmond actor Toby Osmond said: “I saw him as a sort of surrogate brother or father type.
“Tor was an absolute delight to work with - he always had a funny story to tell or a joke to crack.”
