A kebab shop in Twickenham may lose its licence tomorrow after an illegal worker was found on the premises.
Immigration officers visited London Kebabs in London Road on September 7 and found an Egyptian national who has allegedly been in the UK illegally since July 2015.
He was arrested and is subject to deportation.
The licence decision was intended to be made at a sub-committee meeting on November 6 but as the owners of the restaurant brought evidence with them on the day, it was adjourned until November 22.
London Kebabs' case will be put forward tomorrow.
A spokesman for the restaurant said the whole situation was “very bad” and the restaurant “hadn’t done anything wrong”.
The licensing sub-committee will take place tomorrow at 7pm.
This is the third time this month that Richmond Council has reviewed a restaurant’s licence because of an illegal worker.
