Half term is fast approaching and Peabody Housing in Thamesmead have organised enough to keep everybody occupied.

Half term marks the fifth birthday of youth centre The Link Thamesmead and this will be celebrated by 'Made in Thamesmead' event.

'Made in Thamesmead' will have a pop up market with handmade gifts and crafts being sold by Thamesmead entrepreneurs.

There will also be employment workshops for 11-25-year-olds followed by a fashion show and a short film 'A day in the life of the Link Thamesmead' which was made by students at Ravensbourne College.

Peabody’s executive director of communities, Stephen Burns said: “The Link Thamesmead is a fantastic youth and community facility which offers a number of projects and activities. School holidays always provide the perfect opportunity to bring families together and highlight the projects and events that are taking place, not just at The Link but across Thamesmead. Thank you to all our partners who are taking part, we hope residents will get involved, have fun and learn something new.”

The Thamesmead half-term activities programme will be taking place between October 21 and 28. The Made in Thamesmead event will be taking place 12.30-6.30pm on Thursday October 26 at The Link Thamesmead in Bazalgette Way.
