Filming for British detective drama Endeavour has been taking place in Hampton’s very own Priory Road.
The shop front of Priory Opticians was changed to ‘Shergold’s Hardware Store’ last week to be more in line with the era of the show, set in the 1960s, which is a prequel to the long-running Inspector Morse.
Set primarily in Oxford, the drama follows a young Endeavour Morse as he begins his career as a detective constable with the Oxford City Police.
Resident Samantha Smithers, who took the snaps, said it was “exciting” for anyone who watches Endeavour and “pretty cool” that it was happening in Hampton.
