A man has died in after a car overturned in Twickenham.

The driver of a grey BMW, believed to be in his thirties, was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash on the A316 close to Godfrey Avenue at 12.52am today (October 5).

Police officers discovered the car at 12.25am and the London Fire Brigade and ambulance service were called.

At this stage of the investigation, police believe the car was travelling westbound before coming to rest on its roof on the eastbound carriageway.

Detectives from the Met's Roads and Transport Policing Command are investigating.

They would like to speak with anyone who was in the area at the time or who saw the grey BMW.
