A man and a woman are to stand trial for murder following the discovery of a burned body at an address in Southfields, Wandsworth.
The body has now been identified as 21-year-old Sophie Lionnet, a French nanny, who was found at the address in Wimbledon Park Road, at 6.26pm, on September 20.
Police say they were called to the address following reports of a fire and a body. It has taken until today (October 3) for police to officially announce the identity of Ms Lionnet following the identification of her charred remains.
Police say Ms Lionnet was originally from Troyes in France.
Her next of kin have been informed.
Sabrina Kouider, 34, and Ouissem Medouni, 40, both of Pulborough Road, Southfields, have been charged with murder.
They appeared in custody at the Old Bailey on September 26 and will appear at the same court on December 12, with a trial date set for March next year.
