After school art school for autistic children and young people starting on Monday

An after-school art club for artistic children and young people will be open soon at Orleans House Gallery.

The weekly workshops, running on Monday, Wednesday and Thursday during term-time for children aged five to 15 years, will offer budding artist the opportunity to explore a broad range of artistic media and work alongside professional artists.

Councillor David Linnette, Richmond Council cabinet member for culture, sport and the voluntary sector, said: “This club is a great way for children to be able to express their creativity, work alongside professional artists, in an inspiring setting.

“Previous art clubs have gone on to display their masterpieces in mini exhibitions and I look forward to seeing the new creations later this autumn.”

The next Art Club starts on Monday, September 18 and booking in advance is essential.
