A woman has been taken to a major trauma centre as a 'priority'  after a crash between a car and a motorbike in East Sheen.

The junction of Sheen Lane and Upper Richmond Road has been cordoned off.

A witness at the scene said he saw a woman "collapsed" at about 10.40am.

An hour later he saw officers had "put a sheet around her".

A London Ambulance Service spokesperson said: "We were called today at 9.10am to Sheen Lane to reports of a road traffic collision.

"We sent an advanced paramedic, an ambulance crew and a single responder in a car to the scene.

"We treated a woman at the scene and took her as a priority to a major trauma centre with shoulder and back pain."

Police were called by the London Ambulance Service at about 9:20am today (September 14) and remain at the scene.

Sheen Lane is closed in both directions between Upper Richmond Road and St Leonards Road.

Routes 33, 334 and 493 have been diverted eastbound.
