Richmond Council is encouraging residents to join or create reading groups in the borough.
Reading groups involve people meeting regularly to discuss books they are all reading.
The meetings can be informal with a group of friends, or organised gatherings in libraries and bookshops.
He groups are a great way to meet people and share a passion for reading, while also challenging yourself by reading books you may not normally read.
Richmond libraries always encourage creating reading groups, and books can be issued for an extended loan period of up to eight weeks if required.
In order to register your group, email promotions@richmond.gov.uk or ring 020 8734 3325.
The following information will be required: name of reading group, name of contact person, email, telephone, address, book collection branch, number of members in the reading group.
Or you can join a group by having a look at the list and contact library staff at the branch of your choice, email promotions@richmond.gov.uk or ring 020 8734 3325.
