A 10k road race will be taking place in Dartford on bank holiday Monday meaning that roads across the town will closed.

Kent County Council said short term road closures will be in place to allow for the road race which starts at 11am.

Darenth Road between the Grassbanks and Powdermill Lane will be closed for now less than ten minutes from 8.58am,

Powdermill Lane between Darenth Road and Fawkes Avenue will be closed for no less than ten minutes,

Hawley Road between Butterfly Avenue, this will be a rolling closure in place for 20 minutes from 9.05am.

Hawley road will also be closed between Parsonage Lane and Longmarsh for 20 minutes from 9.10am. Longmarsh will be closed between the main road and the footpath through to Devon Road for about 20 minutes between 9.10am and 9.30am.

Holmesdale Road will be closed northbound between East Hill and Roman Cilla Road between 9.15 and 9.55 and Roman VIlla Road will be closed between 9.10am and 10.10am.

Darenth Hill westbound will be closed for over an hour from 9am to 10.10am and Trolling Down Hill will be closed for an hour between 9.25am.
