The Festival of Flight at London Biggin Hill Airport has once again taken to the skies.

Crowds gathered to watch airshows from the Red Arrows, the Patrouille de France as well as wing walkers.

Nigel Farage even made the trip to experience the show along with 100 war veterans.

The fourth annual festival of flight was greeted with mixed weather, but that did not stop some of the worlds most respected airshows from flying high.

Simon Ames, spokesman for the airport, said: "It was very good indeed, we had excellent weather and it didn't spoil anything.

"The highlights were for me the red arrows and the French Patrouille de France.

"The Breitling Wing Walkers always get the crowd going as well. It was very enjoyable. Some of the European Flying Teams, the Czech and the Belgians, were also very good. It was fitting for our centenary year."

Over 35,000 people attended the festival over the two days.

Will Curtis, managing director, said: "We were pleased that the show was well attended and the weather remained fine throughout.

"Our flying display was one of the best seen in recent years and we are proud to have been able to mark our 100th anniversary in style and to share that celebration with our neighbours and supporters."
