Brentford supporters will hold a 17th minute applause for a teenage footballer who died last month.

Jack Keene, 17, was killed after his car crashed into a minibus while on holiday with his girlfriend in Snowdonia, Wales on July 17.

Elysia Coultate was treated in hospital for her injuries.

Jack, who lived in Hemel Hempstead, was a Brentford season ticket holder and at one point even trialled with the Bees.

His sister, Holly, described him as “loved and adored by everyone”.

She told Hemel Today: “We always said there is something very special about him and everyone who met him just loved him.

“He was always there for his friends and got along so well with his nieces and nephews.

“Jack was just brilliant.”

One of his closest friends, Tommy Walter, has set up a crowdfunding page to help out Jack’s family with the funeral costs.

He wrote: “Jack was one of the most genuine, nice, [and] understanding friends anybody could ever imagine.

“This couldn’t have happened to a nicer [and] happier human being.”

Brentford fans will hold the applause on August 12 when the Bees host Nottingham Forest at Griffin Park in the Sky Bet Championship.
