Travel back in time and take a tram ride through 500 years of history on one of Henry VIII’s great descendants.
Hampton Court Palace visitors have the chance to enjoy a tour of the gardens aboard a charabanc, drawn by one of the last working Shires in London, this summer.
The charabanc’s, designed by master coach maker, Mark Broadbent, are close replicas of the historic vehicles carrying visitors to the palace in the Victorian period.
Shire horses were founded by Henry VII, who wanted to breed the biggest war horses possible and are, today, rarer than the Giant Panda.
