Twickenham has a new pub boasting chefs with a pedigree, 500-litre copper beer tanks and ‘push for beer’ buttons.
The Royal Oak has opened in Richmond Road and is offering 50 per cent off food during its soft launch on July 6, 7, 10, 11 and 12.
Its menu focusses on the classics and comes from executive chef Stan Perry (formerly of Soho House) and head chef Marty West (formerly of The Lansdowne in Primrose Hill). The bar features two 500-litre copper tanks serving fresh Truman’s beer as well as craft brews, cocktails and winse curated by a ‘master of wine’.
The inside features an upstairs bar made from an old truck.
A second bar and private dining room features a ‘press for beer’ button.
