Get in shape for summer and attend one of the free exercise classes taking place in the borough's parks.
Richmond council have launched seven free classes to take place in Kneller Gardens and Murray Park from June 27 to July 1 for anyone to participate in.
The classes have been designed for people who are not currently participating in any physical activities to encourage improving physical health and wellbeing.
Cllr Pamela Fleming, Richmond Council Cabinet Member for Environment, said: “We have some of the most healthy, fittest residents in the country but, there are some who cannot afford membership costs or don’t fancy exercising in a gym.
“These free sessions will hopefully give people a taste for exercising in our beautiful parks.”
The programme of events forms part of the council’s initiative to open up parks to the community and make the spaces available for public events.
“We know that residents value our parks as one of the most important aspects of living in this borough,” added Cllr Fleming.
“Therefore, as part of our ongoing programme of parks investment, we are always looking for new ways to improve facilities and increase access for all.”
Places are limited, to reserve your place, please email: info@planbfitness.co.uk for Kneller Gardens and friendsofmurraypark@gmail.com for Murray Park.
