A Twickenham dad won the ultimate present when he was crowned the winner of Fuller’s Father’s Day competition, My Dad’s pub, on fathering Sunday.
Paul Lightfoot arrived at his local Fuller’s pub, The Turk’s Head, on Winchester Road, to find out it had been renamed The Lightfoot Arms and had his name above the sign and at the top of the menu on June 18.
Mr Lightfoot and his family also got to indulge in a free meal as part of the Fuller’s Inn competition, launched to celebrate Father’s Day.
Paul Lightfoot said: “I’m so chuffed about this. This is such a lovely surprise, and I’m delighted I get to celebrate it with my family.
The proud pop was nominated by his son, David Lightfoot, who entered his father into the competition for being a ‘chipper and very fun’ chap who always believed in him and his brother.
“I’m touched that David would enter me in to such a competition,” added Mr Lightfoot.
