Grab your exclusive invitation and enjoy a traditional English garden party whilst exploring Richmond's historical grounds this June.

Sitting between the River Thames and Richmond Green, Trumpeter’s House will open its gardens to the public to support the local charity, Integrated Neurological Services, on June 25.

Visitors will have the opportunity to explore the gardens, formerly home to Richmond Palace - the last place Queen Elizabeth 1 spent her days, whilst enjoying an afternoon of treats and entertainment.

Belinda Canosa, INS Fundraising Manager, said: “Baroness Van Deedem is extremely generous in allowing INS to hold this event in her garden and providing some sponsorship for it as well.

“As the custodian of this historic building and grounds she is keen that it should be enjoyed by as many people as possible and also benefit local charities.”

The party will feature a host of live music including; The Decibelles - a trio of ladies signing a Capella, classical string quartet - Eloysia, jazz duo - Madeline Jones and Toby Comeau and a contemporary folk trio - Challice.

‘Bringing a little Polynesian Aloha to England’, the live performances will be interspersed with a belly dancing performance from Naomi and Jenny – who take on the characters Hula and Tahitian.

With cakes provided by Hummingbird and Greggs, Richmond, a variety of stalls dotted around, face painting and tattoos for children and a raffle with prizes donated by Health & Leisure Club, Richmond and Nuffield Health, Twickenham, there will be plenty for everyone to enjoy.

Established in 1993, the charity provides support and care for those with neurological disabilities and their carers’ in the borough and all proceeds made on the day will go to helping it to continue.
