Just when you thought it was safe to get back into shorts following a week of glorious sunshine and temperatures in the high 20s, the Met Office has put out a yellow weather warning.
What this means is a band of heavy rain will likely hit London and the rest of the south of England this bank holiday weekend.
The rain is due to spread northwards from the south of England between noon Sunday May 28 and noon bank holiday Monday, with 20-30mm expected in some places.
Those planning a long weekend away should be aware there is a risk of torrential rain and possible thunder storms across the entire south of England, stretching as far north as Leicester with the sudden flooding of homes, roads and transport roots a possibility.
