The family of murdered chef Carlos Moreno has flown to England after their son was shot dead on his moped.

No arrests have been made, and police are keeping an open mind as to the motive behind the killing of the 23-year-old Brazilian who worked as a chef at an Acton School.

Having conducted appeals at the scene of the murder a week after the shooting, police want anyone with information to come forward.

Police were called at just after 9pm on Friday, June 22, after reports that a man had been shot in Fletcher Road, Acton, which borders Gunnersbury Park.

Carlos had just pulled up on his moped outside the address of a friend he intended to visit at the time he was murdered The London Ambulance Service and the air ambulance were called, but the victim, who lived in Acton was pronounced dead at the scene.

Detective Chief Inspector Andrew Mortimer, said: "Carlos's family, who are obviously devastated by their loss, are now in the UK and we are keeping them updated on the investigation. My officers were in Fletcher Road last Friday night speaking to the local community and appealing for anyone with any information to come forward. Several witnesses have come forward and we are now pursuing some new lines of inquiries.
