If you’re in London and feeling down about the weather, know that at least every other city in the UK has it worst.
That’s because London is the driest city in the entire UK, according to statistics by the Met Office.
Of the 63 cities where the annual rainfall was measured from 1981 to 2015, London ranked right down the bottom, below Cambridge and Derry.
London has 557mm of total annual rainfall, with 109 days per year with rain.
Compare this to cities like Glasgow with 170 days per year with rain, or Cardiff’s 1152mm of total annual rainfall.
